What is Fiberglass ?
Fiberglass can also be called as Glassfibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP). Sometimes FRP is used and is the abbreviation for Fiber Reinforced Plastic. Its main components are glass fibre and polyester resin. Glass fiber can be made either into yarn for weaving into glass cloth, or into roving. For polyester resin, with the addition of a catalysts and accelerator, it can become a chemically resistant hard solid. Therefore, it is an ideal reinforcing material for plastics.
Characteristics of Fiberglass
High strength, light weight which can be benefit for transportation
Beautiful appearance
Colourful (any colour of your requirement)
Dimensional stability
Simple, lower cost and shorter time for installation
Design Flexibility (easily to mould into different shape)
Corrosion resistance (suitable for any aggressive weather condition)
Durable and lower maintenance cost
Non-conductive to electricity / Antistatic
Can have good fire retardant condition after special manufacturing treatment on the material
